Carolyn Saletto began gymnastics as a "Mini-Flip" at the local YMCA at the age of 6 years old. She continued gymnastics eventually competing for Sehome High School under Nola Ayres. Sehome won the Washington State Championship every year during her high school years.  Carolyn went on to compete at the collegiate level at San Jose State University.

The first gymnastics business Carolyn started was the "GymBus" which serviced Whatcom and Skagit Counties for eleven years. In 2005, Carolyn and her husband Joe opened Gym Star Sports Center. In 2006, Shooting Stars Preschool was added to the gym. 

Carolyn and Joe have two children-Rachelle and Nick. (and one dog named Roxy!)
